A Better Start National Science Challenge’s Science Director Professor Wayne Cutfield is one of the Challenge presenters at a symposium The Diabesity Crisis: how can we make a difference at the Clinical Education Centre, Auckland City Hospital on Friday, 17 March, 2017.
The symposium is an initiative from the A Better Start and Healthier Lives National Science Challenges and the Edgar Diabetes and Research Centre of the University of Otago. The symposium will bring together health and medical researchers, community groups and NGOs. To ensure broad participation, the symposium will be live-streamed. The evening before the main symposium, a public debate chaired by broadcaster Kim Hill will discuss the cost of sugar to our society. The symposium will serve as a catalyst for participants to look at opportunities for collaborative research between the Healthier Lives and A Better Start National Science Challenges and the Edgar Centre.
I would be keen to watch this but it seems to be jumping and so hard to follow…
